In case you do not have any curtain rods, we recommend adding 10 cm at both sides of the window, so the mounted curtain rods and the curtain may provide good insulation at the sides of the window. For example, if the window is 120 cm wide, you will need a curtain rod 140 cm long.

The height of the curtain depends on the type of the curtain rod and on the way of hanging.
Measure like:
A: From the bottom of the gliders in case of a profile
B: From the bottom of the rings or from the top of the rod itself when you have eyelets
C: From the bottom of clips when there are clips
Until the bottom of the desired height.


If the curtain is part of a shorter setup, when recommend adding 5 cm from the bottom of the windowsill, meanwhile the overhanging shall not reach the radiators.
If the curtain is part of a longer setup, the curtain should remain 3 cm above the ground, therefore the curtain will not be contaminated and it is easier to clean the floor.
If transparent and black-out curtains are ordered at the same time, the transparent should be 1 cm shorter!

Pleat:
How do you make an elegant curtain out of a cut-to-length fabric? With the help of the correct curtain tape! Curtain tapes are necessary components, prerequisite during the purchase of every transparent, balck-out and decor curtain. A correct choice of pleats assures the perfect drop of the fabric and obtains amazing effect. Transparent curtain tapes are recommended for either transparent or black-out curtains. White curtain tapes are primarily offered for black-outs, but in case you like this design, you can select it for brighter transparent curtains too!

With this option, 2 cm long excess fabric is made on the top of the curtain, this way we discretely hide the hanging pieces (hook, glider, ring etc). This little detail assures more elegant look for the curtain. Almost every rod or profile is suitable with this solution, but it is not feasible with plastic profiles or with clips!

Our readymade curtains are sewn with a small "side weight holding pocket" at their bottom, where a lead weight can hold down the curtain easily - it won't let the edge of the curtain curl up during sewing, all the while the edge gets well positioned thanks to the weight. Due to the pocket, the weight can easily be removed before washing, avoiding damage done to the washing machine.

In case of folding, the top selvedge of the curtain is folded back before sewing the curtain tape onto it, therefore the readymade curtain already starts with a wave from the top, while the selvage is discretely hidden behind the curtain.
Smaller folds (5 cm) are recommended for transparent or light black-out or decor fabrics.
Bigger folds (10 cm) are recommended for heavier black-outs.
